After compelling testimony by parents of children whose lives literally
depend on benefits from the Ohio Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps
(BCMH) and hundreds of calls and emails from concerned citizens, including
staff at Rourke & Blumenthal and our followers, the House Health and
Human Services finance subcommittee chairman announced that the proposed
elimination of BCMH in the Governor's current budget proposal will
be dropped. This is a huge victory for children suffering from severe
disabilities such as cerebral palsy and other disorders and their families.
Rourke & Blumenthal applauds this wise and compassionate decision.
