Rourke & Blumenthal Urges Everyone to Vote

This November may be one of the most important elections in the past 100 years. We urge everyone in Ohio to take steps to insure that they exercise their constitutional right to vote. This begins with making sure that you are properly registered to vote, and then making an early decision on how you want to cast your vote and, in the era of COVID-19, how to safely cast your vote. Use this link to the Ohio Secretary of State’s website regarding voting: https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/. This one-stop shop will enable you to register to vote and to decide the method of voting that is best for you. While not for everyone, voting by absentee ballot may be the safest and most efficient way to vote during a pandemic. While this type of voting is safe and easy, you need to take steps well before November 3, 2020. This is because you first have to fill out and send in an absentee ballot application before you will receive the actual ballot.

We realize that there will be many other things on people’s minds during the next five months, including health, safety, and employment. However, all of these issues will be impacted by how Ohioans cast their votes in November. As a result, you should start planning now to make sure that your voice is heard and your vote is counted.
